Starting Off My Blog

Hi and welcome to this new blog.

I have decided to use this blog to explore and mull over ideas about the Christian faith and its meaning.

I have recently retired from work and I hope that this blogging discipline will help me to clarify my thinking and refine my expression of ideas. 

The focus is to explore and explain the Christian gospel. The title is adapted from a saying of Peter Taylor Forsyth about how prayer can help us to discern God at work in the world.: the sense of His tracks in time".

I am applying it to the task of exploring the meaning of the revelation in Jesus Christ and how the Creator God is working in this mode and revelation.

My aim is to explain some big and deep ideas in as simple a way as possible. I have been a pastor-reacher of the Bible so I still have this goal - to help others understand.

Really it is the same as understanding things better myself. I like the old saying: By teaching you will learn and by learning you will teach.
